Times Square is a sensory overload, with all
the lights and sounds and people. But, and this but is important, it’s always
crowded. We’re not talking about a few hundred people. There are thousands of
people walking to their destination.
So, even if the photos are beautiful, it’s not so fascinating to be hit, pushed and crushed every five steps, or accosted by a man in a Mickey Mouse costume handing out flyers. The only reason any sensible New Yorker goes there is if they work nearby.
